Patent leather is the marmite of the shoe world – you either love it or hate it, right? Well for those of us that love it, there will be plenty of shine to catch your eye this season if you’re looking for the most glamorous of shoe fabrics. Satin is the other classic choice for court shoes in particular and with the party season on the horizon you can’t fail to add a touch of class to an outfit with something silky on your feet.

Suede is always a popular choice of fabric for winter footwear; this season it will be seen in casual boots, heeled boots, stylish shoe boots and court shoes. The soft feel creates a luxurious finish and whilst shades of grey and black will match a wide range of outfits, try deep pinks and purples to add a touch of colour to the darkness of winter.

Look out for glitter courts and platforms too, perfect for some Christmas time sparkle if you’re after some statement footwear.

What fabrics have you got your eye on this season?
